County GOP Offices
COUNTY GOP OFFICES
I'm concerned...
One part of sharing this postcard - is to send a postcard to each County GOP organization that holds a city of 100K+ people. There are about 350 such cities in about 250 counties.
I am dismayed about some large-County GOP websites.
I grew up 1 mile west of a town of 600 people and lived 20-some miles from a big city of 25K.
When the internet came along, and websites were created,
knowing how little some big city people think of rural people,
I expected leaders from cities of 100K+ people to do marvelous things with their websites.
This is not always the case.
Some counties with large populations don't even have a website.
And Facebook is a poor substitute for a website.
So many GOP websites are under-utilized -
in both flag-waving states and in flag-hating states.
I'm older and I don't give political contributions electronically.
More older people are Republican, (R53% v. D43%) and may have more discretionary income.
When I want to support the Party or a candidate, I write a check and mail it.
Many county GOP websites only accept donations via electronic payment.
They are losing out on donations.
It's discouraging and barrier-building when County GOPs try to hide from those
who want to communicate with them in their own, old-fashioned way.
An old-fashioned vote is still a vote -
and a mailed-in contribution is still a contribution, eh?

Oh! I just learned something
In sending these postcards out to county GOP offices,
and seeing so many without mailing addresses.
On a whim, I looked up the National GOP website...
drumroll, please.............
I don't see a mailing address!!!
The party that rightfully demands Voter ID,
won't list a mailing address.
I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Republican
and I don't like this!
The GOP is sacrificing candidates, votes and contributions by hiding behind an email address.
These leaders want us to give our email addresses and have a 'Donate' button -
but they don't want a letter from us, even if it has a check in the envelope.
Wow.
