Global Warming
GLOBAL WARMING
Here is earth-thermal data for your consideration...
Earth has about 8.6 million lightning strikes daily.
Each lightning strike releases about 1 billion joules of energy.
The air around the strike can reach 50,000 degrees F.
Teutonic plates scraping against another as they move - generate massive amounts of heat.
Mt. St. Helens (1980) generated 1,600 times the thermal energy of the Hiroshima bomb.
The earth has 60-80 volcanic eruptions (of varying power) each year.
A classified hurricane releases about 5.2 x 10^19 joules of energy per day.
There were 47 hurricanes on planet earth in 2024.
The average lifespan of a hurricane is 5.8 days.
Every square meter of the earth's surface receives 342 watts of energy from the sun - daily.
The earth's core is about 10,000 F-degrees and has the energy of 3.6 x 10^17 joules.
When a plant or animal grows, then dies - something digests it. Bacteria is always involved.
There is tangible thermal, caloric energy in every lifeform, that must be transferred -
somehow when that life ends. That caloric energy is metabolized by other creatures.
This digestion, in the wild, or in cities - creates some heat. Life creates heat.
And... when bacteria consume plant or animal cells, they create off-gases.
Whether bacteria consume dead elephants in Africa or tofu in an American's gut, gas is produced.
And it is all recycled to create more plant and animal life and will create more flatulence.
But when we talk about energy, let us remember that our planet has several kinds of energy.
If we concern ourselves with heat energy, as in global warming, different types of energy have different temperatures.
A 9v battery, cool enough to hold in the hand, can be used to create a fire too hot to hold.
When stored electrical energy is converted to fire, it becomes thermal energy - that's what fire is.
So, when different types of earth's energy change form, heat might be created,
often far more heat than humans are capable of generating.
And strangely, as in the grinding of Teutonic plates, gravity is a factor in creating independent-heat.
The gravity-factored grinding of these plates helps restore some of the earth's energy that radiation loses. Fascinating, eh?
